I ordered this meat thermometer to use on the BBQ this summer. I'm new to charcoal grilling and wanted to make sure I wasn't undercooking the meat. A charcoal grill cooks meat quickly, but once the meat is charred from the flames/embers I found it hard to tell when the chicken breasts or steaks were cooked without slicing them open and losing juice. I've been using this thermometer for a few weeks and it works great. I can measure the temperature right on the grill and cook medium and medium ribeyes to perfection that would be a costly waste to overcook. That's great! I've never had a meat thermometer and it really takes time! I'm looking forward to using it with a whole chicken in the oven once it's chilly this fall. The battery was there! Happy with this purchase.
