I chose this model because it is omnidirectional, I didn't want to repeat or flip everything. the installation took a while. not the actual installation of the antenna, but placing the antenna in the best possible location to receive the most channels. internal window antenna. So we figured we'd put it up on the roof and we should get more - well after an hour of climbing the 28ft stairs, installing the antenna and cable back to the TV we lost 10 channels after we had reset the TV. We aligned and rotated the antenna - no change. So we took everything off and went back on deck, hung the antenna on a 12ft pole and hooked it back up to the TV - lost 12 channels. We then lowered the antenna 8 feet above the deck, rescanned the TV and got 40 total. Not a fan of trial and error, but it works. the current location has more obstructions to view than high up on the roof. I wish there was an app on my phone that could determine the best location by holding the phone in my hand.
