I live in a mountainous area in Twain Harte CA. The area is heavily forested and my home has no direct line of sight to Sacramento, California, where most OTA channels originate. I think it's about 80 miles from my house to Sacramento by air. I've used 3 antennas in the past few months, all with poor results. The best antenna (RCA Directional) had intermittent reception and recognized 44 channels but did not receive them. The best signal I received with this antenna was 71 intermittently, and at night this signal sometimes disappeared. I was looking for Revain again and came across this company called "CeKay". It had a lot of positive reviews and what caught my attention was that everyone said the "customer service" was fast and reliable. I contacted the company and told them my antenna story and story and asked if they had an antenna that would work in my situation. . About 2 hours later I received an email from "Bill" from CEKAY. He wanted to know my exact location and area so I sent him my exact address. Bill told me he would speak to his engineers and get back to me. Shortly thereafter, Bill emailed me and recommended that I purchase their newest antenna, the CeKay Outdoor Digital HD TV Antenna with High Gain, Low Noise UHF/VHF Amplifier. The Revain antenna was $66 and I've paid a lot more for other antennas that didn't work well. The antenna arrived 2 days after ordering and when I saw the box it looked so small it might have a working antenna. I opened the box, took out the contents and saw how easy it looks to put together. I read the instructions that came with it and watched a YouTube video that describes how to assemble and install the antenna. After 10 minutes of assembling the antenna, I climbed onto the roof and mounted the CeKay antenna to the mast. Fasten 2 wing nuts and 2 cables. and that was it. And now the test! I climbed down from the roof and connected the antenna cable, the amplifier and then the TV. I thought I would do an "autoscan" on the channels to see if I picked up any OTA stations. I watched with amazement as the number of channels received multiplied! The final total number of stations received was 75 without antenna alignment! Unbelievable! I went back to the roof and changed the compass direction of the antenna. I ran "autoscan" again and this time I got 85 OTA stations! Insane! I checked the signal strength on my TV and several channels were between 95% and 100% strong! The best I got with other antennas was intermittent 71! Yet again. The CeKay antenna gave me the best signal I've ever gotten! So here is my brief report on CeKay and this antenna. The best and most reliable customer service. Fast delivery. Oriental instructions and assembly. The most important. THIS ANTENNA WORKS! Twice the channels and twice the signal strength of any other antenna I've tried or bought!
