Review on Vie Long 00159 Bristle Shaving Wooden by Susan Castle

Tougher than a badger, which is why I was interested. I like a stiffer facial foam brush and this one worked for me! It's great for facial lathering or frothing in a non-textured bowl. (I spend a lot of time lathering up in a smooth bowl with a badger hair brush.) I'm not sure there's much of a difference between horsehair and boar hair. It had a natural hairbrush smell (like most real brushes) but I washed the brush with baby shampoo a couple of times before use and the smell was gone. After using it once or twice, it started smelling like Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood. The quality of VieLong has been great so far!
