I wanted to avoid the shiny, slippery look as I plan to use it on my truck and two trailers. I thoroughly cleaned the tires with Simple Green Complete Cleaner and let them dry completely. I applied an even coat to each tire using a sponge applicator. The original look is very close to the matte black color of the new tyre. That was over a month ago and all 12 tires still look pretty much the same. Everyone sat outside in the sun. If initial performance is any sign of the future, a half gallon bottle is enough to keep me going for many years.
