This stand is great. I read a lot and finally found that the angle of my neck when reading contributes to some neck pain issues. This stand is made of metal and is heavy and strong enough to support my Kindle. It's stable and because it's adjustable I was able to get it at the right eye level and angle. Very easy to use right out of the box. I couldn't be happier!
