This suitcase with a handle is pretty heavy for an elderly woman, but guess what? It's no fun jacking the car up manually when you need to replace a flat tire! My car has an emergency kit and this electric jack is part of that kit. I also have a couple of gallon water bottles in case the radiator overheats, an oil container and paper funnel in case I need to add oil, a small air compressor, an electric starter and a few other items. Cars are good when they're on the move, but when are they in trouble? Man, cars can be annoying! Having an emergency kit stowed in the trunk of your car or in a box in the back of your SUV gives you a sense of freedom of not having to rely on others to do what you CAN do yourself. This electric jack saves you the pain and hassle of raising your car high enough to change a flat tire, even if you only have to put on a donut to get to the tire shop for a full size change. This jack is really cool as it moves smoothly although it's a bit noisy but I'm not too worried about it as it will crank a 2000lb car without my "brawn"! An impact wrench is also a great addition, if you've ever used a wrench that comes with a hand jack in some cars then you know of broken joints cussing under your breath as you try to hit the wrench to tighten the nut receive. Move. Another thing I keep in my emergency tricky nut kit is a small can of WD-40, so spray some around the back of the nut and then put this impact wrench on it, boom - unscrew the nut! I recommend this to your husband, wife - even adult children - anyone who drives!
