Is it aluminum? fits handles

Don't think they're made of stainless steel. These handles show casting marks, are easily sanded/scraped and metal shavings are removed. I've worked with metals my entire professional life and I just don't believe it's stainless steel. also too light for stainless steel! Also, some of the bolts were badly threaded, and at least one of the tie rods was badly threaded.
