I gave up my Doctor Martens platform boots. These were the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn. I've tried several products and tricks to make my shoes smoother with no success. So I decided to try Fiebing's Mink Oil Paste after watching a youtube video. HOW I DID IT: First I heated the boots with a hair dryer, then applied the paste and left the boots on for about 5 minutes. Then I removed the excess paste with a paper towel. The first time I applied it after the paste I could already see my skin was smoother than before. So I decided to reapply in areas where I felt I needed a little extra help. After the second application of the paste the boots are 10 out of 10. Very smooth, very comfortable - a very different boot.
