Originally reviewed 18th August 2021 I have had 5 or 6 of these types of ratchet straps over the last few years. Once I've tried one, I have no regrets. I threw all my old belts in the trash can. These buckles are very easy to use, including the ability to loosen or tighten them in 1/4 inch increments. They look good, wear well and show no holes from the old style buckles. If the size fits everyone, that's great too. Nothing is perfect and I've had a few issues with these buckles. to get a good grip and eventually tore. This HiMi model has fixed this problem. The teeth are longer and there are more of them. 2) The basic design of a ratchet varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some of them have metal parts that stick out. I almost always wear Hawaiian shirts, there is no fabric between the buckle and the belly. I'm overweight so the buckle digs into my stomach. The design of this HiMi model is the best I've ever had, the metal on the sides is smooth, nothing sticks out which can be uncomfortable. Pros: - Easy belt size adjustment. - Easy attachment of the strap to the buckle. (usually this only needs to be done once) - It's easy to snap the working end of the belt into the buckle. - Simply lift the buckle, which releases the strap. - Easily adjusted stronger or weaker in 1/4" increments. - Correct price. Cons: - I can't think of a way to highly recommend this belt/buckle.
