it's small but still the perfect size! It can hold a 17-ounce water bottle, some small snacks (small bag of chips, granola bars, etc.), and a small notepad (about 7" x 5"). When the bag arrived it smelled a bit strange, most likely dust, but I let it air out and it was gone. it wasn't a big problem. This bag is perfect for errands, work or just a trip to a place where you want to take a lot with you.
