The fan is lightweight which is good for traveling. But after adding batteries, it's hard! This will provide some air movement, but not as much. The switch on the side is very sensitive. I had a fan in my suitcase and it came on while driving and drained the battery. The battery compartment is locked with a tiny screw, you need to have a screwdriver with you or you risk losing battery power.
