I have a MacBook Pro 13" 2020 M1 that has a hidden native "feature" that it doesn't support more than one display (beware of Gen 1 products). This dock combined with DisplayLink Manager provides support for multiple displays, but I know it will NOT work in clamshell mode (which is a compelling use case to allow a workstation to run) If you don't want an open MacBook left on your desktop, that's still not an option I'm assuming this is the only os intended for Apple Silicon MacBook 2nd Gen. Google a few displays for the MacBook M1 and you'll see vague workaround scenarios, but don't mention the clamshell limitation until you Add "clamshell" to your search criteria. Unfortunately I didn't have to return the product. However, this is a GREAT product - it's just that Apple was too eager to release products based on the M1 ings while sweeping this very annoying and limiting "feature" under the rug.
