Revainrating 4 out of 5

Japanese quality is very good

Before I retired I worked as a locksmith for over 30 years. When I retired, I foolishly sold my tools to a young man who was just starting out in the industry. But over the past few years I've bought a few things that I'd like to keep. Calipers, microphones, just some of the basics. And I only buy good things. Starrett, Brown and Sharpe and Mitutoyo. I was going to buy a Starrett scale but decided to save a few bucks by buying a US made Mitutoyo πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. Hey! For some strange reason, even though it's the correct part number, this scale was made in Japan πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅. Strange. But this is Mitutoyo for you. Not a big deal, but still great quality. But it's boring. This and the very sharp edges are the reason for only four stars. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very good tool, just a few minor issues that bother me a bit. It's 12 inches long and labeled exactly as it should be, with all the correct pitches. correct thickness. Excellent engraving. Just a really good tool. I'm glad I bought it. But I'd be lying if I didn't say I wish it was made in the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. I love my country very much. Still highly recommended Thanks for reading
