I have combination, acne prone (but not sensitive) skin and this was exactly the scrub I was looking for. Larger than cellulose sponge or terry cloth, but slightly less scratchy than buff puff or most natural sea sponges. I also love the teardrop shape for its precision and each sponge seems to last about two months before starting to lose its shape. I can't tell any difference between the aloe and activated charcoal varieties - neither in the wearing comfort nor in the effect on my skin. . But ultimately, I'm looking for a physical sponge exfoliation, not a cursory infusion, so I don't care. My main complaint is how long it takes for it to be soft enough to use. It's not like other types of sponges which are best used after moisturizing, no, they are actually rock hard without water. So I have to run it under the tap for a little over a minute before it can be used, tapping my foot the entire time. But to date I have not found a better sponge for my face.
