My cats are partially occupied by distant thieves. They seem to get very happy when they manage to knock them over and the battery cover comes off AND the batteries get scattered (which they then play with and scatter in the wind never to be seen again). I bought this remote control holder and plugged it in. on the side of the table, and the remotes have been where we left them ever since. We have a TV remote and a FireTV remote, and they both fit comfortably along with a pair of pens and a stylus, which are also often prey to cats. The plastic is nice and strong and there are slits on the bottom so it's not a crumb catcher. It's also fairly unobtrusive. + from me.
