If you're fitting it yourself - you really need to lift it up to the bottom yellow suction section of the brush - it's not obvious how far you'll need to rotate the section, but once you do, it works great and the sweeper section that is pressed to the ground stays pressed to the ground when you sweep. Otherwise it will come off the ground when you pull the sweeper back while sweeping. If it is not far enough away, hit the bottom of the hose with the bare floor/carpet select knob pivot rod on the underside of the sweeper. Look closely - you will see what I mean.
