Replaced our 5 year old Netgear WiFi extender we have for our pool with this one we bought with lights. Our Netgear extender was so outdated that there was no app to control it, but it has served us well over the years and we decided it was time to update it as the signal was intermittent and he could not handle the number of connected devices. the company is over. Reading the reviews before buying helped me a lot in my purchase decision. Almost everyone said it was very easy to install and they were right! If I can do it while being technologically incompetent, then anyone can, so don't let that scare you. I followed the instructions that came with it, but have read previous reviews with tips and tricks. I just stuck it next to my router, let it do its thing and downloaded the app which is very easy to use and navigate. I entered my password to connect to the network and I'm gone! I originally placed it where the old one was, in a house with a pool, but was told via the app that the signal was weak and needed to be moved, so I moved it inside, closest to the pool, and done my signal test and viola! Insta WiFi! It was all done and all my devices connected in five minutes. I like the fact that the app tells me how many devices are connected to it. I don't know why but I like it haha. I don't see any issues, but I'll update my review if anything changes.
