I was very excited to try this and had high hopes. I'm not sure if this works or not because I've only done it a couple of times. The reason I stopped using it was because the black powder was so fine it got under my gum line and I couldn't get it out. I flossed and it worked on some of them, but on others I had to use a sharp dental tool to gently get under the gum and scrape it off. My teeth were like the yolk of a hard-boiled egg with a dark ring around it. Not a good view! After the first two times I tried again and deliberately only applied it to the tooth and tried not to get too close to the gums, but it didn't help. There are still small particles under the gums. So unfortunately wasted money for me. Went in the trash after a few brushes. :-(
