Fun, affordable, awesome Lego A-wing for Star Wars fans of all ages!

I was looking for my next build and came across this A-wing set. I was intrigued by the low price ($26) and great looks of the A-Wing. I especially like the Resistance colors on this A-Wing compared to the typical red. The dark green with golden contrasts is a real eye-catcher. This set consists of 269 pieces and is intended for children aged 7 and over. I'd say after going through that it's a pretty accurate build requirement. Although there are only 269 parts, the model is well scaled and has the right proportions. He doesn't look awkward and is instantly recognizable as an A-Wing. This set has great "coolness" and ease of play. It is very durable and withstands a lot of movement well. It has two spring-loaded shooters with an additional 3 in case one is lost. The trigger mechanism is cleverly hidden in the A-Wing housing and works VERY well. I have no issues with it sticking or jamming. Side guns, cabin and chassis are movable. A minifigure can also be safely placed in the cockpit. Speaking of minifigures, the set includes 2 highly detailed characters, Snap Wexley and Lieutenant Connix. I really like Snap Wexley's helmet with its yellow clear visor. As always, the printing and detailing of the included figures is superb. My daughter immediately stole the A-wing from me when she saw him shoot one of the shooters. We both think this set is a lot of fun to play with and show off. This is one of those great Lego sets that both kids and AFOLs (adult Lego fans) will love to display and add to their fleet of Star Wars ships. Overall, this set offers excellent value for money. The minifigures are great, it's easy to display, play well, and it's a quick but fun build. Highly recommended! May the Force be with you!
