For under $20 it's SIMPLE. The sound quality is excellent and I seriously doubt you can find anything better for the price. Which shouldn't be surprising considering it's from a company like MoonDrop. And honestly, id even says that when it comes to strictly downward-firing headphones, people will struggle to find this kind of sound quality for less than $50. . I also have the MoonDrop "spaceships" which are also cheap, sound great, and are compact in MoonDrop headphones. But in my opinion the quarks are ONLY blowing them out of the water for LESS CABLE NOISE. Don't get me wrong, Quarks still have some, especially compared to more expensive IEM cables, but they still don't come close to starships. Sounds smart, I prefer quarks too. They sound the same, with the biggest noticeable difference being that the Quarks have more controlled bass as well as improved clarity. I won't lie, I'm far from an "audiophile" and I haven't had much time with either couple. I only recently got the Quarks and haven't spent much time comparing the Spaceships to other headphones, particularly due to cable noise and the fact that I've basically made them uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, spaceships are still a great example of good sound at a low entry-level price, I just don't find them suitable for everyday use. I was expecting shipping from China to the US to take longer, but the headphones arrived in about a week, although the estimated time was MUCH longer. Overall I'd say these headphones are more V-shaped with surprisingly good bass for such a small and compact size. They are very light, compact and discreet. I have to say that I immediately switched to my tips (spinfits) and can't say anything about the durability. But to be honest if they only lasted 6 months I wouldn't be disappointed and would actually seriously consider buying another pair. Although I VERY doubt that will happen. I feel I should add some personal information as each individual's sound preferences and ear shape are unique. I prefer the V-shaped sound signature for headphones (I use AKG k 712 on-ear headphones, which have a "flatter" sound signature). Do you have smaller ears with medium/large ducts and struggle to find comfortable ear tips. I tend to listen to EDM, 90's hip hop/rap and 70's rock/90's grunge.
