I've recorded four albums with a Beyer Dynamic DM 770 and a Sennheiser HD 280 Pro (my favourite) but wanted the " try new technology". Bought two sets of BASN Metalens based purely on specs versus Sennheiser. My guitarist is in heaven and it shows in his playing on fifth album. He said he could finally hear what he needed to hear As a drummer I have trouble keeping them in my ears and I have to wear headphones over them to keep them from falling out but that still doesn't help as drummers tend to move around too much.I like the sound;It was clean and punchy on the rack toms but lacked bass on the kick and floor toms and was too bright on the snare and overheads Still can't beat the Sennheiser as drum headphones (or mix headphones) but if you are a guitarist these should suit you.
