These pajama bottoms didn't cost $40 at all. A thick elastic at the waist is not necessary, it is both spiky and tight, the pants themselves have a curtain-like feel and are very thin. I would never buy them for over $40 including shipping in a million years. If you're smart, you'll think twice before buying these pants. Waste of money thrown out of my wallet. Very disappointed
