I bought several of these trackers on a friend's recommendation. I was looking for a long-distance, non-subscription tracker with a removable battery for my pets and keys. It seemed like it fit the bill with its crowdsourced Bluetooth network. The battery is easy to swap out and has a lifespan of 1 month, not bad, but not bad either. After all, replacement batteries are cheap. However, the build quality is terrible. Flip-out battery compartments broke on two devices within a few months (remember the battery only needs to be replaced once a month, meaning it died after a few uses). Real-time tracking is almost useless - for stationary objects, it* may* be fine, but for a pet on the move, the system updates so slowly that your pet may be many miles away when you get the notification, which isn't great even for stationary objects - you might find it in your wallet or Keys in a day or two, but chances are someone else will find it before you.I wanted to supplement my Loc8tor but found TrackR almost useless as its fragility and lack of real-time information made me go with Loc8tor/Tabcat instead .if you can find it.
