I was in the process of reconditioning a leather saddlebag set when I purchased this set. For the price it was my best option at the time. I only had to replace a few rivets so buying tools and rivets just wasn't worth it. This set had everything I needed and unless you have unreasonable expectations this set is exactly as described. These rivets are for decorative purposes, they are not designed for heavy duty or heavy duty applications. I liked the simplicity: just punch a hole, insert a rivet, line up the die, and then hit the setting tool hard with a hammer. As long as you pay close attention and align the tool to the dead center, it does its job well. I'm sure there are better ones out there but for what I needed this worked great. Now I have a set of rivets and tools in case I need them again. If you're unsure if you even want to do something like this, this kit will help you get started.
