Review on 🩸 Scosche Rhythm+ Heart Rate Monitor Armband: Dual Band Radio ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart by Carron Goebel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good device, but there are disadvantages.

Scosche Rhythm+ seems to work very well for any activity on land that doesn't require flexing the part of the body the bracelet is attached to. With this band on my forearm I can do all the exercises in the gym and record correctly except for the biceps work (sometimes chest work) where my forearms bend like crazy and at that moment the sensor moves and reads my heart rate at 60 (yes , correct!). Also, my forearm usually sweats a lot at this point when it moves, and the water between the sensors and my skin doesn't help. In this case, I have to remove the wristband, dry the sensors and hand, and then put the wristband back on. I'm also pleased with how quickly it records heart rate changes and how it connects to many different fitness tracking apps. I am currently using Endomondo. It works very well for cardio workouts like cycling or rowing, even when HIIT is included in such things. It seems to maintain a good connection with the phone when connected, and the app tracks your workouts. If you don't have an app actively requesting information, it will occasionally lose connection, but will quickly reconnect when you want to use it. heart rate on ALL my exercises in the gym and I don't have to worry about anything slipping. I'll definitely keep it and use it for whatever I think excels at it, but it's not the only solution for the gym-goer.

Pros
  • RHYTHM+ works with most popular health and fitness apps including: Digifit, Run Keeper, mapmyfitness, Strava and more. Not compatible with Orange Theory Fitness Centers.
Cons
  • Long delivery time
