I’ve paid 10x more for salon products and this works better. Made mistake of applying too much the first time. You need less of this than other products. I have thick wavy hair that I apply this to wet hair before blowdrying, and then I use a flat iron to straighten, followed up with a very light smoothing gel or spray for any flyaway hair.
