Review on Bose 1602778001 In Ear Headphones Earphones by Jackie Morales

These headphones are comfortable to wear, have decent sound quality and are an upgrade over the OEM headphones that came with my iOS device , except for one missing feature. Unlike all other Bose headphones I've bought, these headphones don't have a mute function. I often answer business conference calls when I'm out for a run or at the gym, and mute my mic when I'm not speaking to reduce background noise from the street or gym for others on the call. These headphones don't have a mute function on the remote, and to mute the call I have to do it through the iOS phone call interface, which defeats the purpose of a remote and is dangerous when I'm walking through on the street or while driving. Bose tech support told me these headphones were "designed for workouts, not conference calls," which I didn't find helpful and frankly unconvincing. Please note that if you intend to buy these headphones to use for business calls where you may need to mute your phone during a conference call or while driving, you should look elsewhere. But I knew. Unfortunately I bought two pairs of these headphones, one for my travel backpack and one for my home office and they don't fit the purpose I was planning to use.
