My pup has tiny paws that aren't much wider than his legs so we just couldn't buckle them tight enough to hold him while walking. This is a little old man, he has back and hindquarters weakness and we wanted to help him gain more stability when visiting places with slippery floors. We only tried them on his hind legs because he really hates people touching his paws and if they stayed in the right position they gave him good traction but if he took more than a few steps they turned back and began to slide off a few seconds. I think they could work really well if your dog has wide paws and you don't mind fiddling with his legs long enough to actually insert and tie them securely.
