These USB 2.0 Flash Drives offer good value for money as they are relatively fast. I tested each flash drive by writing (reading faster) two defragmented files containing 145MB of data. The write speed of each flash drive starts smoothly at 4MB per second, then increases and stabilizes at 12MB per second. This is good working behavior as you don't have to worry about speed with small files and a flat plateau indicates consistently good write speeds. [In my experience other USB 2.0 flash drives overclock to 6MB per second (slower) and their plateau is potholed (local memory errors).] These flash drives offer higher and more reliable performance at a comparable (current) price point with other 8 - USB 2.0 flash drives in gigabytes. These flash drives are also my preferred form factor. A metal slider protects the USB port and is a handy place for a paper label (if color-coding isn't enough). Also included is a pocket-sized plastic case with a latch to protect all five flash drives from pocket lint.
