Don't trust the list, but okay.
After working all day I finally figured out why none of my displays are working! The listing states that address 0x27 should be used. That is not true. I had to use 0x3F to make it work! The documentation also doesn't specify which I2c library is running. I kept trying different ones. Maybe they all worked, I don't know which one I ended up with. Now that it works, it works great. An additional note: soldered the ds1307 directly to the rear pins, which fits nicely and saves space. I will buy again.
