Could be installed. I figured I could attach it without removing the plastic tabs that the hat protects the ink from. Just to see if I need to return it but I had to remove the plastic tabs and put it in the printer. I was concerned as the item said XL next to 246. My printer in the picture shows a barscan for a replacement of 246. It fits perfectly! Prints great! I'm just not sure how long it will last, so I'm giving it 4 stars. I don't print every day.
