YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO! I am so excited I found this mug warmer. I've used other mug warmers, even Mr. Coffee, which is "supposed" to be the best. However, this one way surpases Mr. Coffee. I use the highest setting (167 deg.) to start out and by the time I'm down to almost 1/4th a cup, I turn it down to the middle setting (149 deg). My coffee stays very hot. Not enough to burn when I take a sip, but definitely hot which is outstanding. By the time I'm down to a few sips left, it's STILL hot! The top of the warmer does get quite hot, you can't hold your fingers on it. Underneath, my desk gets slightly warm, but certainly not enough to cause any damage. You will not regret buying this!
