This is a replacement for GE filters that can no longer use the source. I flushed the Pureline filter and installed it easily with no leaks. However, when my ice maker called for water, I could tell by the sound that he wasn't happy. It wasn't the filter's fault, it was the intake manifold, which had a valve that had been worn out for twenty years. I replaced this plug with one of the plugs that came with the GE filters and my ice maker and I am happy. This filter is a great replacement but I wish these plastic connectors were included or otherwise available.
