Honda Civic Ex 2001 Problem: No air coming out of vents Solution: Cheapest way Replace the fan motor resistor/transistor. Original Honda part did not have foam padding. (Original photo left). The Revain part also didn't have a foam pad, despite the photos on the website having it. The Amzn part was taller than the original and had 8 heat fins compared to the original 9. Visually it looks otherwise the same. Even though Amzn is bigger, it still fits inside. And it works! The only problem was trying to pull the transistor out as the space was very tight with the connector and wires behind it which also made it difficult to remove the screw on the right side. I also have small hands and it was difficult. This is a simple DYI.
