I guess people buy these thinking that they are suitable for normal dirty laundry. I have two boys and a man who works outdoors. These pods can get rid of those pungent smells. I don't have to worry about how they smell when they come out of the washing machine knowing how durable these Tide pods are. The smell can be overwhelming for some people who don't sweat a lot. It will definitely get rid of any smell. Grease, oil, chemical smells are gone. My clothescloths come out of the washing machine smelling like they could be used on my face.
