I think there are many Pi cases with this basic design. It doesn't cover everything completely, but it protects the chips and gives access to the ports. It also dissipates a little heat. I revived my Pi crypto miner (following Tom's Hardware example) to see how it works with cooling. The case was warm after about 12 hours, not hot. no drama No problem. I think I prefer cases that cover everything completely. Just my opinion.
