Review on Kolpin Rhino Grip Double 21505 by Tony Suggs

This is my second Kolpin gun stand, never used as a gun stand. The first was mounted on the back of my UTV on a flat surface and was used to hold an ax and shovel. Easy to assemble as I used sheet metal screws. No problems after two years of intensive use. This new application was used on my SUV roof rack which meant I had to use their 5/8" pipe clamp system. They contain incredibly long Phillips screws on one end. The nuts come with nylon inserts to prevent loosening due to vibration. But with a Phillips head instead of a hex head and with the head so close to the stand body, you won't be able to get a cordless drill. without removing the screw heads. And the nylon inserts with nearly 2-inch studs made it a difficult and tedious setup. Screwdriver between bracket and body. So what should have been a 10 minute easy setup with a power tool turned into hours of fighting and swearing. But the stands themselves are pretty sturdy and hold up well and work great for the custom application I'm using them for.
