The design is good but this product is poorly designed and made. I bought one of these for my BMX X5 but sent it back the same day I received it. Holes don't match! The holes on the left are 1/4" higher than the right. When I tried to insert the locking pin for assembly, I immediately saw that the pin was crooked and not even straight. I put it in the coupler pocket and guessed that the locking pins would only go in one side but of course can't come out the other side as the holes don't line up.Another problem is that the oval step tube looks like hard plastic or maybe it's very poor quality aluminum. I tried tapping it with my knuckles and heard a cheap flat noise of poor materials and construction It doesn't seem to survive even a small bump in a parking lot Shame as I was looking forward to plugging it in.
