I bought it in October 2019 and the first one they sent me was defective. The knife was deformed and the knife adjustment did not work smoothly. The replacement unit worked, but just over a year later it started falling apart. The glue holding the plastic parts together has failed and the parts are beginning to separate. Because of this, the cutting action is now not as smooth as it was originally. I think at $30 initial issue I got my money's worth, but I think it should be at least two years before a replacement is needed.
