After buying a bar table with variable height, the chair needs to be changed. The chair was new (less than 6 months old) and according to the manufacturer I could not convert my existing task chair to the drafting/architectural style. The option was too expensive for my budget. Did a little research, found this option, called the chair repair guys and found that rebuilding costs can be quite high. Somehow, using my husband's muscles, we were able to go from desk to drawing in about 30 minutes. As another reviewer noted, the chair can rise very high. Make sure that the rear is locked, otherwise there is a risk of tipping over. Otherwise very happy with the purchase.
