I made porcelain stoneware coasters and wanted the base not to be too high but to soften the stoneware on the coffee table. it worked great! The size was just right for what I needed and the stick was great! I make a few more for gifts and this is the easiest part of my production. I took some of the rest and cut out shapes to use for other things. It's just a nice thin layer of cork. The paper peels off the backing easily and once it's attached give it a good wipe to make sure everything is attached and you're done! I don't think you can put that stuff in the dishwasher, but it would be too much anyway. But look around your house, under table lamps, vases, ashtrays, candy dishes. This is a craftsman's dream product. Can't beat the price here.
