This device and accompanying app work great. I haven't found anything wrong with either of them. If your loved one has heart problems this is really good for early warning and to get a snapshot of what is going on. He won't tell you if he's having a heart attack, but will let you know if he detects an arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, or an irregular heartbeat. One note, you have to touch it properly and then remain perfectly still for 30 seconds while it does its thing. Sometimes if you move even a little, the display is lost and you have to start over. Other than that, it's a fantastic little device. Highly recommended.
