What an adorable little hairbrush! I ordered this in the pink color for my granddaughter to keep in her handbag or backpack (assuming she ever gets the chance to go back to school, or anywhere else, really). She has thick, wild & unruly hair that responds very well to boar bristle brushes, but she also needs the assist of the nylon pins to be able to get all the way through her hair. All of the pins (boar as well as nylon) are firmly embedded in the cushioned head so they can bend as the brush glides easily through her hair. Sometimes nylon pins can be sharp and uncomfortable on the scalp, but these have tiny plastic tips and feel gentle. The brush is quite small and can be easily used by young children as well as teens and adults. The wood handle and head are nicely finished in matte paint and the outline of the kitty-cat is just charming. The brush arrived in a nice box that is suitable for gifting plus a cute drawstring pouch to store it in so the paint won't be chipped or nicked so easily (thick beige cotton decorated with lace and flowers). A little wire tool to remove hair is also included. This basic hairbrush seems well made and the price seems very reasonable.
