Review on ⏲️ Digital Magnetic Kitchen Timer with Large Display, Loud Alarm, Count-Up & Count-Down Dual Timer for Cooking and Baking - Adjustable Volume, ON/OFF Switch, Includes Battery by Monique Larsen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The timer has a memory, so it's always on.

I really like this timer. It could have been better. My suggestions: As mentioned and photographed by others, an LCD screen is difficult (impossible) to read when light hits it at a certain angle. Unnecessary numbers are also highlighted, which is confusing. (The 1-minute countdown shows 0:01:00 instead of 1:00. Why zero hours? Keep it simple.) The ON-OFF switch only partially turns it off. If something has memory, it should remain partially activated. This timer has a memory. When activated, it consumes 19 µA (microamps) of battery power. When off, it consumes 11uA. It's more than half the time. Leave it off for months (weeks?) and the batteries will die. So remove the batteries or put a piece of plastic on the end of the battery. The battery cover is not attached. It could easily have been lost. A loop would be nice. Cooking is a wet and dirty business. This timer is not greasy or waterproof at all. I have to dry my hands before I touch it. The magnets on the back have a raised plastic lip around them that prevents the magnets from getting close to a metal object making them feel flimsy. Take a knife and remove the small plastic tab. The holding capacity of the magnet is increased by 10 times.
