Review on πŸŽ₯ Epson 2100 Home Cinema 1080p 3LCD Projector by Alejandro Raney

Brightness and sharpness exceeded my expectations

I have upgraded from a 15 year old projector that was modern at the time of purchase. I originally bought a Chinese brand projector for $200 and figured even that would be better than something with very old technology. It was definitely brighter and sharper, but there was an annoying bar that scrolled vertically across the screen every few seconds. I went with a more reputable brand and spent the extra money. You can spend so much money on a 4K projector! Many times more expensive than this Epson costs. are they better I suspect so, but for the vast majority of people the image quality is fine. I can see it with all the lights and the picture is great. Fits my 120" screen very well. My media room is quite large, and with the throw ratio of these standard models, I could easily have a 150" screen (my mount is about 15 feet from my screen). Don't spend $1,500 for something you don't need. Just buy this and the 4K projector you want to buy today will cost a lot less in a few years time. I don't mind upgrading again. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Bright - Ideal for a variety of lighting conditions, the projector has 2500 lumens color and white (1) equal brightness.
Cons
