nice smooth leather. So many pockets to organize my stuff. This new one is a replacement for the one I bought a few years ago. I don't want and don't want a big bag, just a small lightweight thing for my essentials. That's great. The only thing I don't like is that the strap is too narrow, narrower than the strap of my previous handbag. It's not a problem if I'm not carrying heavy things in my purse. This is a really beautiful, well made genuine leather wallet!
