I called the company in February 2018 and was informed that the formula has been changed and uric acid crystals are no longer neutralized. When I used this product in 2015 it was amazing. My rental didn't smell like someone had spilled a bucket of urine, it smelled like a light perfume. I actually thought the carpenter peed in the bucket and spilled it as there were some big smelly wet spots on the floor. After a little research, I found that uric acid crystals form when dog and cat urine dry out. Then, when it rains (as it did at night), the crystals draw water from the air and rehydrate themselves, making the ground wet and the air very smelly. The old Simple Solution formula contained a chemical compound to neutralize and eliminate uric acid crystals. I'm afraid that all the good reviews about the old formula. Obviously, we have California to thank for this, as the company changed their formula to comply with California laws. I am posting this in hopes that the company will bring back the old formula and call it FORMULA 51 for the 51 states that do not abide by California law.
