I just installed this on my 2017 Road Glide Ultra. Drove for an hour with the fairing vents closed and noticed very little turbulence going through the fork tunnel in the fairing. In general, opening the vents will help equalize the air pressure behind the fairing, reducing the amount of air passing through the fork tunnel. Closing the vents increased the airflow going through the tunnel, pushing a lot of air into my face and under the visor of my short helmet, causing a lot of turbulence. With this gadget and closed ventilation slots, I noticed that significantly less air escapes at the bottom. Worth the investment.
