Before I bought two of these cables I bought a set of gold colored all metal stereo and mono jack to 3.5mm jack adapters. THESE GOLD PIECES ARE TOO SHORT which means the pins on the female end will not align properly when you insert the plug - you will need to push the plug out 0.5-1mm for them to work. Aggravating. In contrast, they work great, are THE RIGHT LENGTH (1mm longer) and work great. In fact, they look much better than the picture in terms of finish and coverage. Important for use with all MONO OUT devices.
